Vexed Gaming Appoints Dan O’Hare as Chief Gaming Officer

Former Pro player and Esports & Talent Manager at Vexed is promoted to lead on the evolution of their talent strategy.

Vexed Gaming is delighted to announce the promotion of Dan O’Hare to take on the role of Chief
Gaming Officer, effective immediately. This promotion is a key appointment in the business and will
dive the growth and strategic alignment of both competitive and content-driven talent.

O’Hare has been with Vexed for nearly 2 years, initially as Talent Manager and more latterly as Head
of Esports and Talent. He has been responsible for the organisation’s recent, and highly successful
move into Apex Legends and been actively involved in the evolution of their content team too.

“I am both excited and slightly apprehensive that Vexed have entrusted such an important role to
me,” commented O’Hare. “The team has big plans for the near future and this role will be key in that
success. I have been building competitive rosters for many years, and to be given the chance to do it
for a brand as exciting as Vexed is not only a thrill but a wonderful endorsement to my abilities.”

O’Hare studied accounting and finance, with a focus on corporate finance and investment
management, at university. He played professionally for Vexed for around a year before retiring
from competitive playing. He returned to Vexed later the same year to join as Talent Manager and
was promoted within the year to head up Esports and Talent for Vexed. Aside from a strong history
in playing competitively and building competitive rosters, he also has experience working in a
traditional sports environment.

“As we look to this next stage in Vexed’s growth, the effective sourcing, nurturing and utilisation of
talent will be key to our success,” said Sonny Waheed, CEO at Vexed Gaming. “Over his time with
Vexed, Dan has proven to have an exceptionally keen eye on spotting talent and getting them to
perform at their best. This promotion will give Dan the strategic imperative to put our talent plans at
the heart of the business. Additionally, with his strong finance background and wider sports
experience, Dan will be a valued addition to our Senior Management Team”.
