Vexed acquired by Cooldown Ventures

Today Vexed Gaming announce That we have been acquired by Cooldown Ventures Ltd (CDV), an independent esports management and services company. Full press release can be found below.

Manchester June 5 2019.

Today announced the acquisition of assets from Hong Kong-based WeGotGame. As part of the deal, CDV will take immediate control over Vexed Gaming, one of the UKs leading esports brands.

Alongside running the two team brands, CDV will be introducing a range of services, products, operational methodologies and CSR-enhancing solutions with the aim of making esports more professional, responsible and equitable for all participants.

Commenting on the deal, co-director and CEO, Pei-Zhi Lou said “As esports moves into its next phase of evolution, we believe now is the time to instigate the principals that will make esports an even more thriving and exciting environment. Cooldown Ventures will retain Vexed’s Mark Weller as their Chief Gaming Officer, giving him strategic responsibility over the teams and also leading CDV’s outsourced team solutions. The senior leadership team is completed with the appointment of Sonny Waheed, a seasoned marketer and strategist from the technology and entertainment industries, who is a co-director and Chief Marketing Officer.

Cooldown Ventures is registered in the UK and will operate out of Vexed’s operational offices in Manchester.
