Valorant division secure first LAN victory
Posted by November 2, 2021 in UncategorizedThe Vexed Valorant team attended their first LAN as a roster and their first under the Vexed banner over the Halloween weekend in Kettering at EPIC.LAN 34
With a first seed at EPIC.LAN 34, the roster had high hopes going into the event. The team were very happy to get some LAN experience under their belt and enjoy the atmosphere for the weekend.
The team did not drop a single map throughout the tournament up until reaching the grand final, where they faced off against their Upper Final opponents for a second time, JOKERS. With some competitive back and forths across the stage and an abundance of clutches from both sides, the first two maps were fairly close. The final concluded 2-1 to Vexed Gaming, giving the roster its first LAN win under the Vexed Gaming banner.
“The tournament went really well for us, we had a talk beforehand on our expectations and our goals as a team and it was clear we wanted to go undefeated throughout the tournament, which I’m happy we were able to achieve especially with it being our first tournament win under the Vexed banner. We saw this as the perfect practice opportunity to not just come together and play a tournament but to also meet up with each other in person and build stronger team bonds and chemistry, which I feel will be an important factor to the success of ourselves as a team and will be good preparation for us in future tournaments, especially the next VALORANT Champions Tour Qualifier. Great memories have definitely been made and I cannot wait for the opportunity to show ourselves on even bigger stages in the future as I have no doubt you’ll see us there soon.” – Leonard “eleo” Kulish
